This homeowner reached out after noticing cracks forming throughout their sheet rock. They feared their home was settling—and they were right. Stabilizing the Main Girder
To make the home safe for our team and the family, we began by opening sections of the ceiling and installing SmartJack temporary supports. Once secured, we removed the failing lally columns never meant to be permanent and installed six Stabil-Loc Push Piers along the home's steel I-beam main girder to permanently stabilize the structure.
Reinforcing the Foundation Wall
On the right side of the foundation, where cracks had formed and the wall was at risk of rolling inward, we prepped the surface and installed vertical and bi-directional SRS Carbon Fiber Strips for added reinforcement. We also placed crack monitors outside so the homeowner could track the minor cracks that sat in the "watch" zone.
